Shri B. S. Mootha Girls’ Senior Secondary School, Mambalam, proudly hosted TECHTOPIA 2K26, its Annual Inter-School Science and Technology Fest, on 4th July 2026. The event brought together young innovators, dedicated mentors, and distinguished guests for a memorable celebration of scientific curiosity, creativity, and innovation. The programme commenced with a soulful prayer, followed by the Welcome Address delivered by Mrs. Chilka Esther Rani, Head of the Department of Science, who warmly welcomed the gathering and highlighted the importance of nurturing scientific thinking and innovation among students.

The inaugural ceremony was graced by Dr. K. Ravikumar, renowned Physics Educator, STEM Trainer, and Science Outreach Specialist, as the Chief Guest. In his inspiring address, he encouraged students to remain curious, think creatively, and embrace science as a way of understanding the world.

The event was honoured by the presence of the institution’s Managing Trustee, Shri Paras Singh Munoth; Correspondent, Shri Rajkumar Jain; Principal, Mrs. Roshini Muthusamy; and Vice Principal, Mrs. Maheswari, whose constant encouragement and support continue to strengthen the school’s commitment to excellence.

This year, TECHTOPIA 2K26 featured both intra-school and inter-school competitions, bringing together over 700 students from 14 schools. Through a wide range of events, participants showcased their creativity, critical thinking, teamwork, and scientific inquiry, making the fest a vibrant celebration of innovation and learning.

A special attraction of the day was “Mini Scientists, Mega Style,” presented by the students of Class I. Dressed as inspiring Indian women scientists, the young participants confidently paid tribute to these remarkable personalities, celebrating their contributions to science and inspiring everyone to dream big and aim high.

The competitions were evaluated by a distinguished panel of judges, all proud alumnae of Shri B. S. Mootha Girls’ Senior Secondary School—Dr. Akshaya, Ms. Kavyadarshnee K. S., Dr. Manthra B., Dr. V. Manjula, Ms. Mahalakshmi N., and Ms. Sthavitha Rithu LNS. Their valuable insights, fair evaluation, and words of encouragement made the event even more meaningful for the participants.

The valedictory ceremony celebrated the enthusiasm, dedication, and innovative spirit displayed throughout the day. Prizes and certificates were presented to the winners in recognition of their outstanding performances. The Overall Championship Trophy was proudly awarded to Kola Perumal Chetty Vaishnav Senior Secondary School, whose exceptional performance stood out across the various competitions.

TECHTOPIA 2K26 once again reflected the school’s commitment to fostering scientific temper, experiential learning, and innovation. With the National Anthem, TECHTOPIA 2K26 concluded on a note of pride and gratitude, leaving every participant inspired to dream bigger, innovate further, and return with even brighter ideas next year.
