                                Anglomania, the Literature Day celebration, was held on 25th April 2026. As part of the Golden Jubilee Year of Shri BS Mootha Girls Sr. Sec. School marked the first major event of the academic year, showcasing a vibrant array of literary activities. The programme featured Rhymes and Elocution by KG children, Storytelling by students of Classes 1 and 2, Role Play, Book Reviews and Theatre Play.

The event commenced at 9:30 a.m, with a warm reception of the Chief Guest, Ms Nisha P Sekar a dynamic journalist from The Federal. The programme was presided over by the School Correspondent, Sri Raj Kumar Ji Jain, along with the Principal, Mrs Rohini Muthusamy, the Vice Principal, Mrs Maheswari, and the Head of the English Department, Ms Aparajitha.

The formal proceedings began with a welcome address and a prayer, setting a graceful tone for the day. This was followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, creating a serene and auspicious atmosphere. One of the highlights was the role play performed by primary students, who brought various literary characters to life and captivated the audience with their enthusiasm and creativity.

The theatre play presented by the students of Class 11, ‘A Thousand Words’ by Steve Koren, stood as a stellar performance, leaving a lasting impression on the audience. The Chief Guest further inspired the students with her motivating and insightful address.

The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed to the spectacular success. Anglomania ended on a note of pride and accomplishment, fostering a deeper appreciation for language and literature among both students and faculty.
